WeildWorks

WeildWorks brings together theatre artists, designers, dancers, musicians, writers, scientists and researchers to work collaboratively across disciplines in order to explore and develop new forms of theatre, creating cross-cultural ties, nationally and internationally.  Its inaugural production of Charles L. Mee’s Fêtes de la Nuit in 2010 was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in Unique Theatrical Experience as well as seven New York Innovative Theatre Awards, including one for Weild as Outstanding Director.

WeildWorks is collaborating with Mee on soot and spit a new musical about the deaf “outsider” artist James Castle, the development of a world premiere Deaf opera with Senses Askew as well as projects with artists currently based in Paris, Berlin and Istanbul.
